Argh. Got a call from the agency I was supposed to have an appointment with tomorrow. And of course, they have to cancel -- "something came up that they just can't get out of". *groan* I get out of the much-needed shower to this shit. Thank you ever so much, world. Well, it's rescheduled for Monday, anyway. Which means I get to spend my entirely free weekend stressing about it. Joy. JOY.
Oh, and the typing tests? I need to print out the stupid copy typing thing (which means at least brief use of Zim), and I have to use Explorer to do it because of Mozilla's habit of blocking pop-up windows. But at least I have the time to get it done now, huh?
I'm a little less knackered than I was last night. Last night was fun; so damn tired I could barely stand by the end of it. And I have no goddamn idea why.
dodgyhoodoo explains to me that this has something to do with the fact that my brain's been running overclocked for the last week, what with one RPG and another (character sheets, dice systems, setting, actual running, etc), but I have a hard time believing this. Can what is technically a hobby be so tiring? Then I remember the fanfic, but that was different. I really was driving myself too hard back then. This is, comparatively speaking, nothing. Seriously. I guess I just don't have the stamina for this kind of mental overclocking anymore. Or maybe I'm just more willing to listen to what my body actually needs.
Still, there is stuff to do. Tweaks on the Forsaken characters, setting work for Affils, stupid typing tests. Maybe some actual writing -- I haven't touched "Wormwood and Chamomile" since last week.
But in order to kill time and just because, as
nightskywarlock goes, so goes the journal:
step 1: get your music player, put it on random, and play.
step 2: quote from the first 10 songs in your native language. the first ten with lyrics, anyway, and don't quote the title, that makes things too easy.
step 3: post and have people guess what songs the lyrics come from. googling = cheating.
step 4: cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
( May as well do 20, anyway... )
