Argh. Got a call from the agency I was supposed to have an appointment with tomorrow. And of course, they have to cancel -- "something came up that they just can't get out of". *groan* I get out of the much-needed shower to this shit. Thank you ever so much, world. Well, it's rescheduled for Monday, anyway. Which means I get to spend my entirely free weekend stressing about it. Joy. JOY.
Oh, and the typing tests? I need to print out the stupid copy typing thing (which means at least brief use of Zim), and I have to use Explorer to do it because of Mozilla's habit of blocking pop-up windows. But at least I have the time to get it done now, huh?
I'm a little less knackered than I was last night. Last night was fun; so damn tired I could barely stand by the end of it. And I have no goddamn idea why.
dodgyhoodoo explains to me that this has something to do with the fact that my brain's been running overclocked for the last week, what with one RPG and another (character sheets, dice systems, setting, actual running, etc), but I have a hard time believing this. Can what is technically a hobby be so tiring? Then I remember the fanfic, but that was different. I really was driving myself too hard back then. This is, comparatively speaking, nothing. Seriously. I guess I just don't have the stamina for this kind of mental overclocking anymore. Or maybe I'm just more willing to listen to what my body actually needs.
Still, there is stuff to do. Tweaks on the Forsaken characters, setting work for Affils, stupid typing tests. Maybe some actual writing -- I haven't touched "Wormwood and Chamomile" since last week.
But in order to kill time and just because, as
nightskywarlock goes, so goes the journal:
step 1: get your music player, put it on random, and play.
step 2: quote from the first 10 songs in your native language. the first ten with lyrics, anyway, and don't quote the title, that makes things too easy.
step 3: post and have people guess what songs the lyrics come from. googling = cheating.
step 4: cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
1) "the number one question is how could you ignore it"
2) "we're the low art gloominati and we aim to depress"
3) "elected to speak for the vast majority / pulling politricks on behalf of America"
4) "anything tomorrow brings will be / when this hour is yesterday's ghost"
5) "empty hearts want to believe the fight is for humanity"
6) "this is your trap, your crap / this is not my thing"
7)"here's the time we didn't speak it seems for years and years" guessed by
nightskywarlock
8) "the earth's enslaved with hypocrites / they lay their heads to rest at night"
9)"it's not that you're not good enough / it's just that we can make you better" guessed by
dodgyhoodoo via e-mail.
10) "the stars are black beyond the gate / a wasteland"
11) "thought it was strange when your car was found"
12) "justice never wait for the guilty to speak the truth"
13)"but if someone's climbing down your chimney / you better load your gun and shoot to kill" guessed by
nightskywarlock
14) "when you were here before couldn't look you in the eye"
15) "whatever you feel / I take it on my stage"
16)"through the thick and thin he will wait until you give yourself to him" guessed by
weaselbitch, though technically
dodgyhoodoo beat her via e-mail.
17)"I walked around my room not thinking / just sinking in this box" guessed by
nightskywarlock
18)"When I was 8, we shared a cloakrack - it was great" guessed by
nightskywarlock
19)"and if I must be lonely I think I’d rather be alone" guessed by
mapp
20) "tonight I'm the prettiest zombie alive"
