Affiliates as a background, concept, whatever -- it's cursed, I'm telling you. The animated series didn't work because of internal communication problems. The graphic novel didn't work because the artist I got for it at the time was straight out of the Marvel School and that really wasn't what I was after. The novelisation was just never going to happen.
And now the roleplaying game, after weeks of work on the system, looks set to sit in a subdirectory on the Frankenbox and gather virtual dust because the likelihood of my getting decent playtest time is nearly nil.
Okay, fine. I'll accept that if it's the majority vote. But if the untimely demise of Exalted didn't mark 7th Sea as the juggernaut
corone claims it's not, then this sure as hell does. After nearly six years of gameplay, giving over for a few months at an ideal time for a hiatus doesn't seem unreasonable. Particularly not when it's a new system by a friend who's wanted to be published for something auctorial for as long as she can remember. And yet someone who claims to care about me dumps me right in it in the face of That RPG Which Must Never Have Hiatus. L'Etat c'est 7th Sea.
And if this is offensive, and it's not the way you want to hear this opinion? Bite me.
