The Register
May. 11th, 2005 12:02 pmThis morning's run of online job applications has paid off. Immediately after posting one of the applications (Team Secretary position; looked okay to me), I got a phone call from a lady at the recruitment agency (not too perky, so that's okay). She told me that I was probably overqualified for that particular job but that she was very keen to have me in to register. I have heard this one before. However, a new one on me is the ability to take the typing and Word/Excel/whatever tests online in the comfort of your own home, not to mention all the application forms and stuff. I think I'm liking this -- this way I don't have to sit in their offices for hours on end. I will do the tests at some point either today or tomorrow, as the registration session is Friday. With luck, this lot won't entirely ignore me.
Now on to what
dodgyhoodoo refers to as "Uratha-wrangling", not to mention working on the settings, background and NPC stuff for Affils. I suppose I must have known on some level how much work RPGs actually take, but I didn't really register it -- after all, I was never going to have to do it, right? I should stop assuming these things -- if it's creative, odds are I'm going to take it up at some point, even on a small scale. Eesh.
Now on to what
