• 11:24 Why is there need to remake UK anything in the US? Red Dwarf, Coupling, renaming the first Harry Potter novel... I mean, why? #

US Dr. Who

They did try to make a US Dr. Who spinning off from the 7th Doctor ( Sylvester McCoy) regenerating and becoming the 8th Doctor (Paul McGann) since he did that in Canada with backing from American production companies Fox Network since it was still a growing company and had yet to become a powerhouse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_Doctor

Of course like many Whovians they deny that the 8th Doctor never happened, I would have preferred that myself as it was a horrible episode much like the Star Wars: Christmas Special.
