Another Vana'diel Milestone

I missed a Vampire scene today. It was in a good cause, however. Eventually.
See, today I had a date with
dodgyhoodoo; I was going to take him to get his Mea crystal, so he could have a little more freedom of movement around Vana'diel. However, we had a few other things to get done for him first. First of all, I took him to get his Valkurm Dunes stone monument impression, then on his first ferry trip (where he learned the invaluable lesson "If on the ferry, take a fishing rod or you will get bored rigid. I took mine and caught two Noble Ladies, which is the best I've ever done at fishing. I'm proud of me!) and into Mhaura and then Buburimu Peninsula. We spent a happy little while farming Bull Dhalmel on the way to the Buburimu Peninsula stone monument - I now have much dhalmel meat. We also got a lot of dhalmel saliva, which means that
dodgyhoodoo is now a bit ahead of the curve when it comes to that "unlocking the way to Aht Urghan" quest, particularly since we then farmed some Mighty Rarabs for a wild rabbit tail and, later on, killed a Bogy for bloody robes. But we did get the Mea crystal and a few packets of seeds ("Sapliiiiing!") and then broke for dinner while
dodgyhoodoo turned in his stone tablet. He must be doing fairly well gil-wise now, with all that questing...
Anyway, by then I'd had an idea, and we decided to farm Poison Leeches for Carbuncle's Ruby, so I can finally unlock Summoner. It took hours. The Poison Leech spawn rate was for shit, and there were two other people also farming Leeches, and they were higher level and faster than us both. And the ones we did manage to catch and kill? All they dropped was bird blood, for some odd reason. Oh, dear gods, it was frustrating. And poor
dodgyhoodoo got killed by a Bogy, which I then soloed. But finally, finally, the ruby dropped. Back to Windurst, cut scene, and now I go chase weather patterns around Vana'diel until I get all the colours and I get Summoner. And Carbuncle. Blue radioactive squirrel! (Which actually, now that I think about it, looks like Fluffmodeus, Kharisma's jailhouse hallucination in Something*Positive...)
I've got four already - clear skies (orange, somehow), dust storms (yellow), rain (blue) and thunder (violet). Now all I need is wind, heat and ice. Wind and heat should be easy enough. Ice? ...Beaucedine Glacier. *whimper* That's not a nice trip... But still, other people have done it; it can't be that troublesome.
Anyway, thank you to
dodgyhoodoo for all the help and good company, and know that your dhalmel hides, dhalmel femur and sprig of papaka grass are waiting in your delivery box.
See, today I had a date with
