It would appear that a whole bunch of gilsellers have been banned from FFXI, and those who have benefitted from the services of gilsellers have had their ill-gotten gains confiscated. Or something. This is the idea I get, anyway, from the shouts going through Jeuno today.
See, I finally went and got my Tenshodo application form and, as a result, membership card and Tenshodo invite. (I really should hang onto it as a LS commodity but ... it goes for something like 17k at the auction house and I could really use the gil. I'm so torn.) Anyway, so I was pootling around the Tenshodo headquarters and reading the people discussing a lack of gilsellers around the place - and of course, they were talking in /shout, which means the entire area got a look at these individuals' opinions.
Basically, there was this one entity bitching about the several billion gil he'd lost / no longer had access to / whatever and griping about the lack of gilsellers at the moment.
...Griping. About an absence of gilsellers. Griping. Because they can't break the rules and screw up the in-game economy. To a large audience of people who quite probably worked for their gil. And blaming SquareEnix for 'spoiling their fun'.
What is wrong with people?
