Dragonslayer!

All hail Satomi the conquering dragonslayer!
Okay, so it was actually just the one dragon. Deet never turned up and I thought we could go kill my dragon while we waited for him to turn up. So I pootled off to San d'Oria and who should I bump into but Aegnor - Elvaan WAR, and incidentally
weaselbitch's brand spanking new character. So I showed her where the mog houses are in San d'Oria (henceforth shortened to Sandy, as that's what we call it in gamespeak) and sent her off to kill rabbits. Meanwhile, I met up with Critz and Gjoll and we buggered off to Horlais Peak to kill a Dread Dragon.
We got a party extension on the way - a couple of people happened to notice us trudging by while they were lounging in Ghelsba, took me for the party leader for some reason and started asking if we could come along and help their lvl 23 WHM kill the dragon. By this time, we'd gone right past them and had to wait at the Burning Circle for a good five minutes for them to turn up. Eventually, Critz and Gjoll had to go rescue them in Yughott Grotto so that we could finally move on to the dragon slaying.
The whole time, Critz kept telling me, "Sleep the Dragon and we'll kill the Eye" - "Sleep the Dragon" - "Don't forget to keep the Dragon asleep..." Yes, you said, I read it the first time, for pity's sake! I am not a n00b and, more to the point, I know how to read. I do not misread "repeatable" as "repairable" and I do not consider grammar to be only something for school! Argh, I hate it when people do that. Anyway. After eight repeats of orders to "sleep the Dragon", we finally got to the point where the dragon-thing was happening. And OMFG that thing was huge. Huge and ugly and kind of skeletal-looking and just plain horrible. It did something like 100 points of damage a hit! Thankfully, we had two WHMs on board, so one of them focused on the meleeing WAR and MNK and the other focused on me as I cast Sleep on the Dragon, waited for them to kill the Eye, and then started throwing Area of Effect spells at the Dragon. Waterga, Aeroga, Waterga again ... and that last Waterga was the killing blow, so go me!
Unfortunately, I was skint from spending most of my gil on food for my chocobo, and couldn't afford a chocobo back to Sandy when we Tele'd back to La Theine. So I had to walk back. Long, boring walk. Pooh. Oh well. I have 3k gil now, and Rank 3. Dragon Slayer! Woo-hoo!
And yes, by contrast,
weaselbitch's character is out beating the crap out of bunnies and getting pasted by orcs. (Ugly buggers, aren't they?) But hey, she's lvl 4; I'm lvl 25. It's to be expected.
And now ... the jungle. Home of Goblin Smithy.
Help me?
