thessalianOh, this is not a worky day. Thankfully, working like a demon yesterday means that today's agenda is pretty clear. So I can sit and generally relax with impunity. Of course, what I ought to be doing is going back to work on the Affils stuff. At least it'll take my mind off NaNoWriMo 2005.
I think I've essentially changed my mind about what I want to write for NaNo, and consequently the Undiscovered Authors novel competition. Not that I specifically have plot, mind you, but I did gamer-related stuff last year and it just didn't work, 50k or no 50k. So that whole plot idea goes out the window until another time. What I'm musing on at the minute is sort of a cross between Coupland, Gaiman and World of Darkness. It has the potential for excellence, serious brain-hurt or both. We'll just have to see. It's torturous, though, because I can't even sign up until tomorrow and won't be able to start writing it for a month. Argh. The problem with NaNo as a concept is that it's a curb bit on the muse sometimes. I mean, seriously, "Write ... but not yet"?
