One of Them. One of Them.

Next step towards geekdom: multi-platforming.
See, I'm getting altogether sick of my portable CD player. Sure, it does what I need it to do ... sometimes. But the CD skips sometimes and freezes up altogether if I move around too much and generally, it's not shit I want to have to deal with when I'm bus-hopping. Plus I'm fed up with having to burn a new CD every time I decide that there's a song I'd rather have in my shuffle.
So I'm going to buy an iPod nano. Only the 2GB one, of course; I don't need much more than that. But it'll fit into the front pouch of my handbag or the inside pocket of my jacket along with my smokes, it'll store more music than the average CD full of MP3s, and a shedload of battery life -- and never have to shell out for Duracells again! The damn thing'll pay for itself inside six months.
Of course, after that I'm looking at an iBook G4. Hey, between Thig and that stupid eMac at work, I'm getting the hang of the keyboard switchover, and it's good to be multi-platform.
Damn it all. It'll be Linux next.
