The Final Straw

That meeting I was supposed to have with head of HR, my office manager and my consultants? The one where we were supposed to be discussing my job performance and any problems with same? Guess who apparently isn't invited? That would be me.
Dear office manager etc:
Thank you for discussing my work performance when I'm not even in the bloody room. If you need me, I will be drafting out my resignation letter in which I state for the record exactly what drove the best secretary you've ever had in this position out of it. And let's see how hot my consultants are on you after they read the copies I'm giving them and finding out why they lost their PA.
Waving bye-bye to you and the whole fucking mess,
Me.

Can you find a new job before leaving,
they take all your holiday during your notice period?
Then they might notice how useful you are! :-)

Date: 2005-02-01 01:36 pm (UTC)As for people noticing how useful I am, if the 'right' people were going to, they would have done so by now. The ones who know can't do anything about it. As for the consultants, they've been speaking to Violet but haven't even bothered to ask my side to find out what I'm going through, so either they don't care what happens (doubtful) or figure they can settle matters. Shame they've gone so far, really. Oh well, I needed a work-related kick up the backside anyway; maybe I can find something that pays better and doesn't treat its employees so much like crap.

Date: 2005-02-01 05:59 pm (UTC)Is it my imagination, or is this straight on the heels of you running the office single-handedly while everyone else was off sick, plus somebody else's patient list too? Nice way of thanking you for keeping them afloat and not cracking under the stress yourself. Definitely a good move to copy in your consultants.
What a shower. See under: gobshites (n., pl.)
