I think I've surprised everyone I'm going to, really. So therefore: Yes. I had the haircut. Now it just about skims my shoulders. It actually moves, takes all of 20 seconds to brush in the morning, is almost incapable of tangling, and I absolutely adore it. Best reaction so far has been Violet, actually -- she was walking out of her office while I was using the photocopier (to the right of her door), and she glanced my way before heading to the left ... then stopped dead. Then turned around and pointed at me in that "What the fuck?" kind of way and then went back into her office for a second. Then told me she thought it looked fab but that it was a serious shock and she didn't recognise me for a second. Well, she was getting a side view, so it's to be expected. Better than Kat, who actually didn't notice. Everyone in the office who was against me having it cut is now kind of madly back-pedalling because they actually like the new short 'do. It's kind of nice, though my head still feels weird. I'm not used to not being weighed down by all that hair.

Still feel bad about the torture I have inflicted on the Mage gang, not to mention killing yet another major NPC. However, in the immortal words of nadriel, I have a great idea. Mnemonic device -- "it's always darkest before the dawn".

Back still hurts. Dragged around a half-dozen sourcebooks, pulled a back muscle and the worst part? I didn't even use any of the fucking things. Oh well; if they do wind up pulling a trip to Verbena Central, at least one of those is going to come in handy. I must simply be more discriminating the next time. However, I think I know where plot is at the moment, so I have the information I need in order to be discriminating; mainly what I need is Freak Legion and The Book of Madness. Oh, and Infernalism, but at least all three are paperback and two are fairly skinny. Blech.

In all seriousness, I'd like to meet you someday. However, point a cameraphone at me and you will find yourself performing a reverse bowel movement with the fucking thing. Just a warning. ^_^

I figured that you weren't one of those people who like being on the victim end of a camera. You have my word that I would ask before pointing any kind of image recording device in your general direction.
