Anyway, 'tis nearly February and I have been asked recently if I had any plans for my birthday. I haven't, really; I tend to get as far as "birthday coming up" and then remember other people's and cringe because I can't shop 'til Wednesday. So I said no, and had it suggested to me that sit-in DVD evenings make good birthday parties. I suppose the only reasons I don't agree involve the difficulties of dragging people up to Enfield and the fact that I got out of the habit of watching things with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cholten99. Which lately means I've got out of the habit of watching anything, but that's a different thing.
Still, I guess I would like to do something for my birthday. I just have no damn idea what. I mean, it falls on a Thursday this year, which means the actual day is workday (unless I take that week off, but that really only applies to me) and not really conducive to anything I'd actually like to do as a social thing. There is the possibility of doing the sushi thing that weekend, I suppose. Anyway, I have three weeks to think about it, and to take suggestions.
And the Saturday afternoon boredom kicks in. So of course, I am sitting here thinking of what I want to do about this WoD novel contest thing. And what I am thinking is ... well, "What am I thinking? I can't do this; I don't know standard WoD from a hole in the wall!" Ah, self-doubt, we have been expecting you. I'll get over it, I hope. And even if I don't, there's enough research material on my wishlist now to crush that argument if dropped from a sufficient height.
