Assumptions

This is getting beyond a joke now. Come into the office and find on my desk a tape that says, "Short but urgent letter. Thanks. [Registrar]".
I do not type for the fucking registrars! She knows that I don't type for the fucking registrars, and somehow this finds its way to my desk anyway! I know Monica's out this week, but we are supposed to be getting a temp in today. Had she waited until this morning so that we could discuss this summary addition to my workload, I could have told her that, but no, apparently all I merit is having someone dump crap on my desk and assume that I'll just get on with it as desired.
And the worst thing? That's exactly what's going to have to happen. If it is urgent (and I'm not qualified to make that decision), I don't think it's fair on patients to make them wait just because I don't like the way the registrar has handled something. So I'll do the letter. Then I'll get on with the other typing I have to do.
Still, I'm getting sick of the assumption that I'll just do any damn thing that falls on my desk without any prior discussion of the matter, and that other people's work takes priority over what is actually in my job description. Violet does it. The bloody registrar-from-hell used to do it. Now the current registrar, usually so nice, is doing it.
Need a new job so badly...
