I will find that temp, and she will die a slow and painful death.
I just found a stack of referrals. They date back to the 17th of September, for God's sake! She didn't book a single one, even though I gave her instructions on how. They're all apparently supposed to be booked in on 4th October, which is already overbooked. Thankfully, it was only by one patient and there's going to have to be more, I know that, but it still galls me. Hell, it's her job to book appointments! One of them was supposed to be seen on the 27th! She just shunted everything back until I came home!
It gets worse. She promised one of these patients an appointment on the fourth. This patient lives in fucking Kettering and had got transport on the grounds that she promised them an appointment, but she didn't give them a time because she hadn't booked the goddamn appointment! You do not give patients appointments unless you've actually booked the goddamn appointments! It's not negotiable! So now I'm going to have to work fucking miracles to get as many patients as possible in on the 4th, overbook the clinic chronically, hope to God that I don't get yelled at for booking things in so late, and generally have a nervous breakdown. It's a small mercy that most of these are new patients -- yes, that means I have to register each and every one of them, but it also means that I can get the notes to clinic myself with a minimum of hassle.
I can never go on holiday ever again.
