These Boots Aren't Made for Walking

I'm a complete idiot, I tell you.

It turns out that one does not want to walk vast distances in the DoomBoots. Both of my ankles are scratched all to hell. I'm going to need to go to Payless or somewhere and get a pair of shoes. There is much pain.

Also managed to get sunburn. I am now reminiscent of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. There is more pain.

Believe it or not, I'm still having a fabulous time. My roommates seem nice and I've somehow established myself as the early riser of the group. *shrug* It gets me up in time for breakfast, at least.

Don't know what's on for today but I'm fine as long as it doesn't involve much moving.

Arch Support /Sunburn

If the linings in the DoomBoots aren't arched for support you made need some insoles to correct it, had the same problem with my new work boots (The New & Improved Navy Boondockers). Actually after I put the arch support in my ankles and knees stopped hurting (I run 1.5 miles, 3 times a week).

On the sunburnt issue go to K-mart/Walmart and look for Skin-aid or go to Bath& Body Works they have a great(if slightly over-priced) Sunburn lotion and it is cool and doesn't stink of medicine-y smell.

Insoles, thick socks and ace bandages will be your salvation.

It's what I have to do whenever I get a new pair of Docs.

Sun burn update

I'm home now and tried to find the stuff for sunburns. I think the wife loaned it to the neighbor for her sunburn. I looked for the stuff from B&BW for you in the closet and couldn't find it.
