Called in sick. Can't do work with miserable rotten cold. Day's relaxation, lots of Lemsip, 7th Sea session (hell, it's mainly just sitting around and letting Thren do all the work) and I should be good as new. I just hate ringing in sick on a Monday -- it's clinic day and this afternoon is going to be seriously mental because two of the consultants were out for the last two weeks. Although I suppose, thinking about it, I did pretty well not to have rung in sick at all during the pseudo-anorexia thing while the consultants were on holiday. I will stop feeling bad about ringing in sick ... one of these millenia.

Interesting e-mail exchange with Andy O re: Exalted.

Him: Oh, I gave you all one too few XP last night; be sure to add the extra. And I'm looking forward to seeing if Kayla really thinks that letting people know that the Unconquered Sun is back after they have a few real fights.

Me: I didn't tell people; I told the undead. The undead don't count as people; ask Rude.

Him: I'm talking about your comment about "maybe it's time to make our presence known" at the end of game. Oh, I'm not complaining; overzealousness is what being Zenith's all about. Just, you have to decide whether the Unconquered Sun wants you to go out, announce yourselves and get killed in a blaze of glory or be denied. -- and the undead are people too! Equal rights for zombies now!

Me: I only brought up the topic for debate -- not that Kayla knows what the word 'debate' means... And if this equal rights for zombies thing bleeds over into Mage, you will not believe the amount of *foom* there is going to be.

The gaming's great, but it's little things like the Equal Rights for the Vitally Challenged debate that make gaming really worth it.

Well, I hope you feel better soon.
