Food for Thought

thessalianThe Shreddies adverts lie.
They say that their product "keeps hunger locked up 'til lunch". Bollocks. I scoffed down a bowl of chocolate Shreddies at 6:30 this morning and was ready to eat my own socks by 8:30. Even a packet of Hula Hoops couldn't kill the hunger and by the time lunchtime rolled around, I had strongly considered the 'long pig' option. Then again, I wouldn't want to kill someone I liked for food, Kate's far too stringy and Julie probably tastes nasty anyway.
Dinner with Mum tonight. Whee. Have to find a way to tell her about moving in with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cholten99. Six-month break in my contract or not, Mum's one of those sticklers for "letter of the law" and "sticking to a commitment". In any case, she's bound to say something about how it's all happening too fast and various other crap. This is not a conversation I'm looking forward to. But if His Schnookness over there can actually admit to his family that he's seeing a girl, I can at least do this. Not looking forward to it, though...
It's Thursday. That means this week-from-hell is nearly over. Thank God. The commute is shattering, though I am starting to get used to it and it'll only get better. As for my workmates ... well, hell with 'em.
