Shark Bites

Bwah. There go the Sharks. There's no shame in losing to the Colorado Avalanche, at least not by one lousy point, but still, I'd have liked to have seen them develop a streak. Chuckle of the day comes from the Minnesota Wild getting its rear end kicked 6-0 by the Calgary Flames. Go, Canada! And my guys play ... I think it's Boston tonight and I still don't get to see it. Roll on, October -- I want the season proper to start so channel five'll start airing the games again.
I've got a big Saturday planned -- lunch with SOINM and then dinner to give the SSD his birthday present five days late. Whoops. Well, actually, I'm considering bailing on the lunch thing -- I'm really not feeling all that well and should probably spend as much time as possible indoors and in bed in order to get better. But I have to do the dinner thing because it was my idea and I do have to give him that present.
Anyway, home is good. And now that I have a computer whose power cord doesn't run screaming from the box if you don't position it just right (domo arigato, Nakanaide!), I can even stay recumbent in bed and still write. My mission is to get the story I've been working on for the last fortnight or so done for Monday (not a big deal; there's maybe a half-dozen scenes left). So you're not going to see much of me this weekend. Gomen.
