One Down

Finished House of Leaves. What an utterly bizarre book.

One down, 49 to go. Haven't decided which one's going to be next, but I will admit to wanting something a little less difficult. I don't have anything against difficult books as a rule, but after all those fucking footnotes, I think I deserve a little light reading.

And now I'm going to go to bed, and wake up whenever the hell I feel like it, hooray!

Disappointment

For once, the number of actual e-mails in my in-box was equal to the number of e-mails in my bulk folder (3). Except when I went to check, all three of the 'actual' e-mails were stuff from the Dragonmeet mailing list, and so in fact were bulk, rather than personal. What a let-down.

I have started my week off as I will probably continue; by sleeping in and then petting a very insistent cat who's very happy to have me not going anywhere. However, there are some things that I really do mean to do this week:

1) Read at least two more of the books on my 50bookchallenge reading list.
2) PM l0stmarbles about applying for access to the Advanced Herbcraft forum on the Pentacle Magazine MB.
3) Get at least a few amber glass jars to store the herbs I use most often. Not only can I not close my herb box easily anymore (even with a bunch of those herbs living in a carrier bag on top of my laundry hamper), but it's getting really hard to get a spoon in the stupid bags to measure out adequate quantities of herb. In short, it's getting to be a right pain in the backside.
4) Get some in-game shots of my Sims 2 hedge maze restaurant, package it up and then submit it to Mod the Sims 2 (and possibly Sims 2 Resource), because it worked out really nicely and Sims aren't so stupid as to get lost in it, which is a bonus.

Sleep last night was difficult. I think there may be weather of the damp variety coming, because all my joints are screaming at me. And the cat will not stand for my not cuddling her. Not a bad state of affairs.
