Last night, the blister on my left hand finally popped, leaking about a half a teaspoon of clear straw-coloured fluid. Whoopee. So I sprayed on disinfectant, slapped a plaster on it and left it alone. Currently, it's still a little sore and looks really kind of icky but is a lot more usable than it was yesterday. I'll leave the plaster on it today, take it easy (but still probably actually do some typing) and see how it goes. I'll likely keep putting a plaster on it before shower and bed until things heal up a little better, but I think the worst is over. Woo-hoo.

The Legacy Challenge is going well.

See below for details of the Legacy Family. )

So I'm now going to heat up tinned ravioli, watch another ep of Firefly, then go back to my Legacy Sims for awhile ... but first I'm going to finish up those head shots. I've still got William Jensen, Brass, the Norton brothers and that evil Vietnamese bitch to do. But thankfully, that's the end of those. I really can't think who else there is left. Then those can be sketched properly and, with a little luck, the art'll be done on time. I will hack away at the GM's Guide tomorrow night and the rest of the weekend (and, if I'm honest, probably at least some of tonight). Ah, scheduling.

And on goes the Legacy...

Well, it's interesting to me... )

The Legacy Challenge does add a whole new dimension to playing the Sims. There's not much challenge unless you have a reason for eschewing all those neat hacks I've got, and it really helps if there's some point to what you're doing. So ... yeah. More ways to kill time. Fanfuckingtastic.

According to [livejournal.com profile] mapp, the Voodoo Glow Skulls (HOODOO VOODOO WE DO FUCK YOU!) are playing Exeter. We checked, and so they are. They are also playing the Garage. This is happening in November. *whimper* Yet more distractions from the NaNo. Still ... VGS!

Back to work tomorrow, but only for one more day before the weekend. Mage should be interesting as [livejournal.com profile] lokean is going to be devising some kind of character concept and quite probably joining the game, as there is no better time. I wonder if this is another one who turns around and enters a RPG with the war cry, "No GM alive can break me! No plot can hold me down!" Because, if he is, I'm fairly sure that [livejournal.com profile] nadriel has some stories to tell him... Moo Hoo Ha Ha.

Aaaaaanyway. I got those head shots done so will have to send them off either tonight or tomorrow. I will not play any more Legacy Challenge Sims until I have downloaded the head shots I do have and plugged them into the Player's Guide. Solemn promise.

...So better go do that now, then. :)

...Sarah. There's another one I don't bloody believe I forgot. Feh.

Since I got the promised bits done, more Legacies )

Yuki goes to great lengths to get me to cuddle and pet her. Essentially she climbs up on the bed in the study (which is technically the second bedroom, but there's noplace else to put the bed), sits on the corner nearest where I sit and then puts her forepaws on my shoulders and tries to climb on. Suffice it to say, this is distracting. She's only done that to [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo the once, but she does it to me all the damn time. Cute, but seriously, I thought cats were supposed to be independent. Then again, it beats "I'll get up on The Man's desk because I know someone'll pick me up to get me off of it!" as an attention-seeking strategy.

Right. Time for shower and bed. Work tomorrow. And I'm typing this one-handed because I have an armful of cat.
