I purchased two Sims expansion packs yesterday -- Unleashed and House Party. Went to install them ... and could not do it, apparently due to lack of memory. Now, when your computer can't even install a fucking Sims expansion, you know it just plain sucks. That's when I knew I couldn't put it off any longer. I can have patience with Photoshop repeatedly crashing, I can have patience when Word loads with the approximate speed of a tree sloth on Valium, but damnit, when I simply cannot do anything because there isn't enough memory to do it ... it's time to turn to the Geek Side of the Force.

cholten99 came home unexpectedly from his holiday yesterday. I'm that ill that moving is more than a minor inconvenience -- it is damn near an impossibility. However, he was running errands this afternoon and picked me up a stick of memory that fit the specs that nightskywarlock laid out for me some months ago. Now all I have to do is install it. Piece of cake, nee?
Well, if I don't update until Monday workday, you'll know that I destroyed the Frankenbox utterly. Ja.
