I've figured out a way to make my job a little more interesting.
Day after day after day, names come by me. Weird names, familiar names, pretty names, fucked-up names... It seems a shame not to use those names somehow.
Therefore ... patient-name bingo.
I make up a couple of 'bingo cards' every day with names of characters from literature, television, cinema, that kind of thing. Just to make it less of an impossible dream to win a round, I'll have one card for first names and one for surnames. And every time I come across one, I'll tick it off against its square. If I'm lucky ... "Bingo!" I've already warned my workmates. Actually, they seem amused.
Tomorrow's Daria-bingo. I'll probably keep out of Tolkien-land and the Wonderful World of Anime, but I'll wind up running the gamut through Buffy, Sandman, Preacher, various Star Trek incarnations...
This is where you guys come in. Anyone else have any other suggestions for bits I can play bingo with?
