Work, Work, Work

thessalianImportant rule of thumb follows.
You need to be getting more sleep when: it's only after putting on/changing shoes three times over the course of a day that you finally notice that your socks blatantly don't match.
The new job is okay, except that I seem to have come into it at a somewhat inconvenient time. As in, my first week coincides with the first quiet week the office has had in months. This means that there's nothing much to actually do, particularly not when you're me, who gets through standard busywork really quickly. Yesterday, the typing was thin on the ground and it was a bit of a struggle finding enough to keep me busy. Today, there was nearly no typing and I wound up pulling files for half the office out of our filing department. There is pain and physical exhaustion as well as the mental exhaustion, the pain being mostly fingers dried out from so much proximity to so much paper and a few scrapes and scratches earned while wresting individual files out of overstuffed shelves. Eventually, I actually had to leave an hour early for my own sanity - fine, it's maybe £10 off my paycheque but it's also a pre-rush-hour commute and an hour's worth of naptime when I got home. Totally worth it.

weaselbitch this evening. Not necessarily partying, though - I'm really not in the damn mood. What we're thinking about doing is a little Valkurm farming excursion so she can get her subjob items and I can get the items I need to unlock Aht Urghan (assuming of course that Deet ever gets the fuck back online and gives the linkshell-shared Tenshodo invite back; otherwise I'm going to have to buy another shared Tenshodo Invite or something stupid). Maybe we'll get lucky and Seifer'll be happy to PL us or something. Stranger things have happened.
All this, of course, is dependent on my not falling asleep at the keyboard. Gods, I'm tired.
