Yeah, I remember a tank's role from FFXI, at least to some degree. Still, the set-up for parties is way different with WoW and the random dungeon thing is totally new to me, and they knew that when they took me on. I just hate feeling like an idiot. And they were really good at making me feel like an idiot.
But yeah, I've now got Prot as my secondary so I'll try that out for awhile, though probably still dodging parties for awhile yet. Maybe I won't get my arse beat by that stupid elemental in Hillsbrad Foothills this time. Though I got bored with the Foothills and moved on to waaaaaay too many quests in Stranglethorn. At least I'm well aware that there won't be a problem levelling with this many quests just waiting to be finished and more to come. *g* It's actually kind of miraculous for me; levelling in FFXI is a bitch and it took me months of playing in FFXI to get to the level 31 I earned in just a couple of weeks in WoW, without partying and similar shit.
