thessalianThings I am forced to put up with at work:
Phone rings. I look for cordless phone on charger near my desk. Phone is missing. I look around the office; see phone on Michael's desk and realise what must have happened.
Me: Michael, you have my phone.
Michael: No, I don't. *answers anyway*
Me: *look around the office, find no trace of phone. Then spot other handset in charger by Michael's desk*
Michael: *hangs up*
Me: Yes, you do have my phone. Yours is in the charger.
Michael: I don't see how that happened, but alright. *hands it over* Oh, right, I picked it up at some point this morning.
*sigh* It spared me a telemarketer call, anyway.
Got email back from Charleston by Night. Yesterday's frenetic stats-juggling and lack of book (and tendency to never use resonance or essence in the Restart campaign) saw me producing a couple of errors in the character sheet, but nothing that couldn't be fixed easily. I also got a Capslock of Emphasis "THANK YOU" for dealing so well with their character sheet format (it's really straightforward, actually, so they must have had some real morons apply), a comment that the STs have nothing in the world bad to say about me and a fervent hope that they get a revised character sheet from me because they want to keep me. So I fixed the errors, apologised for making them, flagged up the Influence thing in case they had any problems with how I handled that (instead of buying it as background, they're using the old Mind's Eye Theatre system with appropriate tweaks; I didn't use all the points available because the background wouldn't really allow it but I just want to double-check that it's okay because it all got a little confusing) and posted it off this morning. So we'll see what happens there. But compare and contrast: Hollow City, I posted my character sheet off in February and finally got posting access in April, I think. Charleston by Night, I posted off my character sheet yesterday and I've already had test-play.

dodgyhoodoo is impressed with CbN, keeps saying how it compares very unfavourably to HC and is now thinking of rolling up either a Dreamspeaker or a very Spirit-oriented Orphan to keep my new CbN character company. And I'm thinking about rolling up a Werewolf for CbN as well. At long, long last, I get to play something. Wheeeeee.
