No, the books focus on 'Bubba'. Apparently, when Elvis came into the hospital on the drug OD that 'killed' him, the orderly was a vampire and a fan and he turned Elvis, but Elvis was all fucked up so he's a slow, brain-damaged vampire who reacts badly to being called by his name, so everyone calls him 'Bubba'. But he'll apparently still put on command performances. And prefers the blood of domestic animals to that of humans. This we get in the books when the show gives us Jessica. It's a sad, sorry thing.
