thessalianLazy, lazy Sunday. This is never a bad thing, and I'm feeling pretty productive today. Having recorded Chapter 20 will probably do that, anyway. And yes, here is where I start babbling about the HIPPIE news again. Mostly just as a break from the headphones, mind you, and the fact that I hate the editing process with a fiery vengeance. But ... yeah, moving on.
Things are looking up in terms of Podiobooks, by the way. By which I mean, Ch1 was not sent back immediately with a note about it being in the wrong format. I need to do some further editing because apparently the good folk over at Podiobooks want the chapter 1 intro blurb on every chapter, but ... seriously, bit of cut and paste, a bit of music-jiggling ... no problem. I won't be doing that with the HIPPIEcast chapters, though - no real need. Though all bets are off when I start with the second one. And of course there's re-recording Ch3, but again, shouldn't be a massive problem. Sure, I hate the editing, but I was never overly satisfied with how that chapter came out anyway. It'll be good to be able to improve it.
And yes, I did talk about starting the second one there. Chapter 20 goes up tonight, possibly along with the re-record of Ch3 if I'm really feeling productive, and I've already made a start on the last chapter of Chaos Magic. If all goes well, that'll be done tonight too, bar a bit of editing. Then I can make a start on the second one as I polish off the last few chapters of the first novel for podcast. Then I can look at publishing the bugger. Woo!
I dunno. Part of me is feeling really confident about the whole project right now, but the rest of me just wants to go ball up in a corner someplace. This is pretty standard, really. I won't let it stop me, of course, this "gleephide!" reaction, but ... it's there. It's annoying. So it goes.
