In the end, I was not up to going to work. So, what with the annual leave I've booked for next week, I don't need to worry about the whole mess for a little while yet. However, if this headache does not improve soon, I'm going to have yet another situation like last year, where I spend my birthday and days surrounding waiting for my turn at the bloody GP surgery. I mean, it's not curl-up-under-the-duvet-in-whimpering-ball anymore, but the headache is still fucking annoying and the accompanying nausea really doesn't help. At least my toes are somewhat better after the smashed glass issue of last night.

I tend to expect [livejournal.com profile] luciusmarwood entries to take some time ([livejournal.com profile] weaselbitch lamented the other night, "Why did I make my character such a gasbag?"), and [livejournal.com profile] kuo_li has, of course, been superceded by the whole [livejournal.com profile] nadriel needing to find a new job thing. However, after a week there is still no SkankDoom as [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo says, "I just need to get his head around it". A week and he still hasn't managed it. Mildly depressing, as a good bout of SkankDoom is always good for a laugh. However, also somehow flattering, given that I'm fairly sure that Skank doesn't easily succumb to head-fucky. You have to be good to throw him off that hard. Then again, I didn't really do anything; bad dice rolls did the worst of the damage in that respect.

Still really must do something about that. And of course, [livejournal.com profile] weaselbitch broke Rule 0 the other night, so I have a few more pieces of the puzzle with regard to what I'm going to do about that.

Heeheehee.

[livejournal.com profile] cholten99 bought Aladdin on DVD and has been watching the special features. I watched part of that too, as it was kind of fun, all things considered. We did chat through some of it as regards things like Jafar really did have that whole cobra look going for him, which made sense because Aladdin as he was eventually drawn/portrayed had a certain mongoosishness to him -- you know, artistic dissection. Plus there were a few Gottlieb adlibs that we kind of wish had made it into the film but will be getting quoted at some stage (case in point: the sing-song "I'm gonna do some ee-vil..."). I'm waiting for [livejournal.com profile] cholten99 to go for his Peak District walk thing to watch the actual movie because ... well, it's bad enough he talks through stuff, but in this case he knows -- more or less -- the words to all the musical numbers and will insist on singing along. It'd be like watching "Once More With Feeling" with him. And I say "more or less" because during the special features segment he started singing along with that "Prince Ali" number and flubbed "Prince Ali / Amorous he / Ali Ababwa...", translating it in his head to "Glamorous he", which I suppose isn't far off but still.
