Bank Holiday Boredom

My afternoon is completely plan-free. Well, with the possible exception of a trip to Budgens for foodstuffs and caffeine, and petting the cat, of course. I might pick up Sims 2 again for a little bit; I've been doing all this downloading so I may as well actually use the stuff I download. Then again, if it follows the pattern my Sims 2 forays have done recently, it's going to be an hour or two of poking about with it and then realising how bored I actually am.
Oh well. Nothing whets the appetite for a spot of fiction writing like pure, unadulterated boredom. I'm hoping that this, my last day of off-time, will actually get me working on one of the many projects I've started and back-burnered lately. My swashbucklers, for instance. Seems a shame I pumped so much effort into them in November only to abandon them come January.
On the other hand, it's not like I'm not writing at all. Fantastic creative outlet, the gaming. Still, maybe if I did some of the actual writing thing more, I wouldn't throw such convolution at my players. Then again, maybe they like convolution, I dunno. Either way, I'm pretty sure I can do both, if I put my mind to it.
Maybe I just need a challenge. You know, something that I need to get done, a deadline, something. After all, I managed the NaNoWriMo and I always get my Mage stuff done on time (even if I tend to add shit last-minute anyway). Nothing says "incentive" like a deadline, I've discovered.
Still, for the time being, I think I've earned a break, so we'll just see how it goes.
