thessalianA couple of things I forgot about last night's session:
1) Anyone who's seen the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty will understand this. Lucius was obviously upset about the death of his mentor, who had already gone back around the Wheel and, obviously in a great tearing hurry about things, had been reborn somewhere. Molly, who will have read Sleeping Beauty and God only knows what other fairy tales, decided to give Lucius the opportunity to help his mentor along in his new incarnation. She summoned three small spirits, each designed to give a blessing to the newborn child. The ones Lucius settled on were luck, intelligence and for him to be found again.
2) Skank poked around the computer Molly woke up earlier in the session. It had a couple of files on Molly Quincannon -- one compiled by Iteration X and the other by the Progenitors. The ItX reports mainly involved how best to use this concept of utterly demented eidolon (see Progenitor report) as some kind of biogenic weapon, reality deviants being rather illogical when it comes to the protection of the 'innocent'. The Progenitor report was a little bit more detailed -- it called up avatar/resonance wave form patterns and showed Molly's to be incredibly warped. It's a bifurcated line, for one thing -- one at a sort of base level for genius eidolon and the other coming in at the same sort of power level as the one for "Fetish, Skank". (They have wave form patterns for the entire cabal, though Kuo-Li is listed as Unknown Entity 561 and that ID number will probably be different in every other report.) The lower-level line spikes to meet the higher-level one at various points (basically every time she tries to do magic) and seems to be climbing at an accelerated rate. When Skank turned Prime/Spirit sight on her, what he found basically suggested that Molly's Avatar is highly erratic and has what appears to be Paradox batting at it like moths on a gas lamp. Skank isn't sure how to begin telling the others and can't tell Molly because, as Andy O puts it, "How do you tell an eight-year-old girl "Oh, by the way, you're a walking Paradox bomb'?"
God, I'm tired. I owe another thousand words at least tonight. I'm on schedule, basically, but 14,000 words must be written by the end of tonight. That's if I can do anything but fall over this evening.
Late because of public transport. Forgot my watch. No one told me where my meeting this morning was supposed to be so I went to her office whereas she came to mine. Tapes containing clinic letters coming in a couple of hours.
But on the other hand, I have sugar. So it can't be all that bad.
