A photo that makes you happy

There's another one that makes me happy too (possibly happier) but that one goes under another entry. So let's explain this one:

This is me and Warlock, one of my best friends, on the ferry back from Alcatraz. This was taken during Spring Break 2000, when there was a whole bunch of us Daria fans kicking about San Francisco doing ... you know, San Francisco tourist stuff. On the way back from our tour of Alcatraz, there were these seagulls hanging around scavenging nommables, and for some reason, he and I decided it would be kind of awesome to hold out Doritos and see if they'd take them from our hands on the wing. As I recall, the greedy little buggers did just that. It was an awesome day and, despite the underlying ... shall we say issues, a pretty awesome trip all told.

(And man, the guy watching us must have thought we were insane. But ... hey, if you can't freak the mundanes somehow, where's the fun in life?)

Now, I'm going to go Google up a walkthrough of DAO so I can get through this bit of the Fade, maybe even without dying a horrible death for, like, the eighth time today. *wave*

I haz a shinie!

And thus I turn in for the night, actually prying myself off my New n' Shiny Dragon Age Origins game (which ... y'know, was a bitch to actually get working on the grounds of needing an actual graphics card, and the one I could make fit with a bit of creative aggressive casemodding only gives me 800x600 resolution and it's all kind of weird, but I did it) at a sensible-ish hour. Well, I was off 15 minutes ago but there was checking of Twitter and stuff like that, so ... y'know. Doing pretty good, all things considered. I'm liking it, beyond the aggravation of dying repeatedly. But what did I expect, me with my novice status when it comes to this sort of thing? Besides, I was working with a full party of four when things got tough up until now and now I'm on my own getting dogpiled by darkspawn. Ow ow ow.
