thessalian: (deathgnome)
I haven't been online for the best part of the day because clever [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo figured out how to get me logged into FFXI on the Xbox 360 so I finally got to play my deathgnome again! This has perked up my mood slightly, though sitting on that sofa for most of the afternoon was an exercise in pain for an already battered back. I don't know how I'm going to get through another week of this ... but never mind! I'm not going to consider that right now, instead preferring to enjoy the slight upswing in mood while it's happening.

Anyway, I levelled Bard up to 12 and am now halfway to 13. I was going to go and try to spawn Yara Ma Yha Who (sapling NM in Tahrongi Canyon) until I discovered that you can only feed it distilled water to try to get the spawn once every 50 minutes real time, at which point I said "Bugger this" and warped back to Bastok. I can do the NM thing another time, when I'm really bored. Which may be at some point this week, seeing as how [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo is going to be on holiday and leaving me all by myself.

[livejournal.com profile] l0stmarbles is the newest victim of FFXI fever among my social circle. It seems to be a chain-letter sort of deal. I get involved in it, and then I drag in [livejournal.com profile] weaselbitch, who helps me gang up on [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo and, in her turn, brings in [livejournal.com profile] l0stmarbles. Or something like that. Finer distinction tends to get lost.

And now I've been drawn into JusNoctis sceneage. Thankfully, I can sleep on the bus on the way to work, so I'm not too worried about staying up a bit later than I maybe should. Besides, maybe half-asleep is the only way I can do this job without going psycho.
