Money Matters
Dec. 23rd, 2006 03:26 amI have blown much gil today.
I've been saving up all week to get a nice massive amount of gil, something that FFXI players desperately need if they're going to get new spells and armour and such. And miracle of miracles, various of the expensive stuff I'd put up at the Auction House had sold, netting me around about 20k gil. Now, some of this was supposed to go towards making yet more gil, and did - I bought some seeds to keep my garden going, and a new fishing rod that I'm unfortunately not good enough to use yet. However, 10k gil went towards a Christmas present for one of the LS members - he's been trying to get a hold of some Race-Specific Armour for quite awhile now so we're all chipping in to get him another piece. Some of us can afford more than others - I, with my recent gardening, farming and quest-doing stuff, could manage quite a bit. One thing I think I want to do, though, is go to the other starting cities and get different kinds of plant pots. You can grow different things in different kinds of plant pots, and they might sell for more at the Windurst Auction House. Well, I needed to go to San d'Oria anyway to check up on my chocobo - meant to do that today but with all the shopping, questing and running around, I was kind of busy. So I go look up who you can buy which plant pots from and, as the limit's 10 pots per mog house, hopefully buy two of each kind from Bastok and San d'Oria - thus expanding the amount of stuff I can grow.
weaselbitch got me one of the nWoD Mage books ("Sanctum and Sigil") for Christmas. Bless her; now I can take that off my wish list. And when it comes time for me to run some nWoD Mage, I'll have more to work with. I really want to pick Forsaken up again at some point. Argh; too many games, too little time. And I still need to figure out what the fuck is going on with the message board for CoC - I may have to call
dodgyhoodoo in for help on this, as he's done it before. Really not sure about getting the chat software at this point, though, so I may have time. I'd like to be sure I know where the next paycheque is coming from before I shell out that kind of money on frivolities. Double-figures for three months on FFXI? Fine. Triple-figures for a chat set-up I'm probably going to take forever trying to work out? Not until I have a job.
I wish I didn't feel so crap, though. Couldn't sleep at all last night, managed a small series of naps in the afternoon, now am in intense pain. But I am bundled up in flannel pyjamas and as comfortable as I can be in the circumstances, so I suppose I should be thankful for small mercies.
