The preliminary interview with the agency went quite well. My CV had already reached the appropriate people and I should be finding out about upcoming interview at the actual company soon -- interviews are next week. Fingers crossed I hear in good time.

The rest of the afternoon was fun as well. Went slightly mad in the sales and picked up copies of From Dusk Til Dawn, Fight Club, The War of the Roses and Pump up the Volume (if you don't know, ask). Also a couple of CDs and some more chocolate covered espresso beans. [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo got comics, so that's all good. Yes, he still has the lurgy, but the 'fresh air' and sunshine at least made him feel better at the time -- we had lunch at the London Stone, went our separate ways briefly, and met up again in Camden for nibbles and conversation before going home and watching one of the new DVDs.

Of course, at that point I discovered that I'm now also running a fever. Meaning that I caught the dreaded lurgy. Come the morning and I feel like hell. Whee. Oh well, at least I know what I'm in for. Poor [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo is still too ill to go back to work and we're having to cancel BESM entirely because neither of us is up for it. I suppose it really is for the best that the thing with Kier went off the way it did because I'm sure they'd love me being out with this lurgy-thing so soon after being signed off for the neuropathy.

Yech.

Here we go again with the bombing...

I think the only person I know who might have been travelling at that point was [livejournal.com profile] corone, but of course a check-in on anyone I don't already know is at home would be nice. Obviously, being signed off work, ill and/or unemployed has its advantages.

I think I'm just a little bit more sick of this than anything else. [livejournal.com profile] kixie's probably right about it not being natural to be quite this casual about bombings, but I'm not going to panic just because it's expected of me.
