According to the agency, I was shortlisted with the company that interviewed me yesterday. The lady who found me the job wanted to get my feedback on the place so she could give it to them and hopefully improve my chances of getting the job. So once again, fingers crossed.

And the playtesting on Affils starts tonight! ([livejournal.com profile] weaselbitch and [livejournal.com profile] nadriel, 7 pm or as soon afterwards as you can make it, Sourcebook Central 2.0. I'll text [livejournal.com profile] weaselbitch just to be sure.) There are nerves. Hope Jon and Maria got the rules okay. I mean, the others can explain if not, but it'd still be nice for them to have some idea ahead of time. At least I have plenty of d4s to loan out.

Must go have a shower, as I skipped it last night and now my hair is grubby. Then I shall sit around and decide what sort of scenario I should run tonight should character gen not take up too much time.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Good News: I got the job. I start on Monday. No more unemployment yay!

Bad News: Jon and Maria are, in [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo's words, "plaguemonkeys". They're really ill and can't make tonight. Stay tuned for more details, but I either have to cancel this week altogether or stick with the lower numbers and I can't decide which.

I'm telling you, THIS WAS NOT MEANT TO WORK OUT!

I will get you for this, [livejournal.com profile] leopard_lady...

I warn you in advance not to click this. )

Sorry, but I need no more bad luck.

I didn't think I would enjoy tonight as much as I did, given the sudden random change in plans. However, it was a whole lot of fun. Not only did they wind up causing problems in a southern Oregon town and get taken in by the cops -- who obviously turned them in to the "proper authorities" -- but they wound up, after a daring escape, taking refuge in an old decrepit house on a hill. Read: Silent.

That's right; little crim girl Megumi, goth-boy James (who'd never even properly heard of the game, let alone played it) and geek Chris faced off with, among other things, Pyramid Head. And then James had to go after Mary, their healer. That part was entirely [livejournal.com profile] dodgyhoodoo's fault. Then again, so's the Silent Hill meme in general. Anyway, I am now confident in my ability to freak people out using the power of the spoken word alone.

This, by the way, is practice for Mage. Moo Hoo Ha Ha.
