Well, that was fun. My pretty little firestarter went off on her own and did single combat with a skin-stealing Nazi demon ... and won. Just. (179 hit points and the little fucker still didn't go down! Jeez.) [livejournal.com profile] infernalfencer update coming soon.

Pre-game, had Night of the Uber-Bitch. Useful ventage ensued.

Had a bit of a chat with [livejournal.com profile] cholten99. Situation hasn't changed but I've had my vent about it and that, I suppose, is the main thing.

Cat is on crack.

Still waiting for [livejournal.com profile] kuo_li update. Muuuuuh!

Birthday presents from [livejournal.com profile] corone and Claire -- Bare Bones -- Conversations on Terror with Stephen King and a box of Godiva chocolates. Such sweeties. Thank you!

Pretty uneventful day all told, believe it or not.

[Edit: Also updated the Mage site a little -- last session's write-up is up and I found a far more suitable actress to serve as Elder Molly.]

Woke up at half-eleven, fed the cat, went back to bed. Woke up again, it was five. Ate a tin of ravioli and am now currently hoping I don't throw it back up again. The problem with having time off is that your body all of a sudden decides it has the time to be seriously ill.

I've been reading Bare Bones and there's this reprint of a Playboy article Stephen King did in 1983. I go through it and get to thinking, "Wow; just how drunk were you when you gave this interview? Oh, wait, it's 1983; those were also the cocaine days, weren't they?" Seriously, if I had been giving that interview, I don't know what I'd have done. Started laughing, possibly, because the man had the biggest case of chemically-induced verbal diarrhoea I've seen in a long time.

As for my own writing, it amazes me that, after it's been at least a year since I put out anything in the realm of fan fiction, I still get the occasional piece of mail telling me that someone out there likes it and asking if I'm ever going to finish the series. It's nice when it's not gushing and particularly nice when they actually tell me what they think's wrong with it. I mean, provided they're not being complete fuckheads about it. It just amazes me that something I started in 1999 and put on semi-permanent hiatus in 2003 is still getting attention today.

How the bloody hell can I still be tired? I've been asleep for at least 13 hours now!
