Well, we can chalk up another town we're never allowed to go into ever again.
There was more roof damage, but that wasn't the damning part. There was more Pietro getting himself unconscious (but unselfishly coming to Alison's aid, so knight in slightly rusty armour), but that really wasn't the damning part. The damning part was blowing up quite a bit of Paix.
Okay, there was various stupidity involving putting feet through attic floors/Montaigne ceilings (more roofs; Theus help us) and jumping out windows and very good acting, which you can read about in
alison_1669 when I've got that written up. (Additionally, the wonderful line from Toos, spoken all in one breath and in the same relatively casual tone, "I dash down the corridor and jump out the window oh crap what floor am I on?" This resulted in Alison being obliged to drag Pietro to a doctor. When it turned out the doctor wasn't in, Alison noticed a cart full of revolutionary bombers and a bunch of barrels covered by a tarpaulin. No prizes for guessing what was in the barrels. My reaction: "Can I shoot the barrels?"
I could. I did. I dived (so I only took a dramatic and that was only because I was shielding Pietro at the time). And there was an intense amount of bang. I also blew up two of the revolutionaries and severely inconvenienced a third -- then got in his face with a gun and threatened him until he gave us information and passed out. Oddly, this was considered such a good course of action that Francine did the same thing when she went to investigate the house later and saw a second, less large cart going by with the last surviving bomber in it. Needless to say, he did not survive very long.
I look at it this way: knifed one revolutionary, made him drop his bomb. Located one safehouse, shot another revolutionary because he hit Pietro and tried to cut my throat (or maybe because he failed to cut my throat, I'm not sure). Shot one revolutionary trying to escape the scene of the hotel bombing. Blew up a load of gunpowder headed for Musketeer barracks, ripping two revolutionaries to pieces and severely inconveniencing a third. All told, despite being only peripherally involved in main plot most of the time, I think I did more damage than anyone else in the party. That's just bizarre.
It's a shame I'm having to retire Alison while the campaign moves into Vendel. Now I have to decide whether I want to dredge Aidan up again or if I should roll up a new character. Simson wants an Explorer, so I could give it a go. I figure I'll try to roll up the Explorer and if I don't like him/her, I'll just play Aidan.
I need to get some sleep.
