Orchids and Onions

We used to do this thing at summer camp -- at the end of every summer, there was a skit show flagging up the memorable bits over the year. And one of the segments was "Orchids and Onions", a less buzzword-tainted version of "Hot or Not". So here's my Orchids and Onions for this Bank Holiday weekend.

Orchids to: OTT Japanese samurai movies with my friends.
Onions to: The migraines that come with sitting around a dark room staring at a screen for two hours.

Orchids to: Claire giving me her set of Dark Tower books (everything up to Wizard and Glass) on the basis that "they were just going to a charity shop anyway..."
Onions to: Being essentially guilted into thinking of something to give her in return by my boyfriend (I'd have been far more inclined to do so if he'd just not said anything).

Orchids to: Lunch at that Italian place near the Tooting flat that I've always meant to try and will probably never have the chance to since I'm moving so far North.
Onions to: Flat inspection with my mother.

Orchids to: Season 6-Buffython.
Onions to: Evenings spent cleaning up kitten-mess (she has now taken to doing business on the bed).

Orchids to: Pirates of the Caribbean.
Onions to: Procrastination and illness keeping me from doing the required work on the Tooting flat.

Orchids to: Four-day weekends in general.
Onions to: Being migraine-ridden through the entire thing.
