In other news, this place was supposed to have paid me today. They haven't. I go yell at them when they've all woken up and I've had my 2nd cup of coffee.

Can I go on record as saying that this has, looking at it, been the worst week 2003 has thrown at me? And it's in the Top 20 of worst weeks ever in my life.

Turnabout

Went and spoke to the people at HR. Then went to speak to people at Payroll. Then rang up and spoke to people at my bank (hold music -- GAH!). Upshot -- I've had money since Tuesday and my bank is staffed entirely by idiots.

On the plus side, I have money. On the further plus side, I'll be replacing my Solo card with Switch next week -- more places take Switch than Solo and this will be convenient for e-shopping. On the even further plus side, I can treat myself this weekend. I think I really deserve a good meal out.

Okay, this week has been pretty stressful and miserable and it's still probably the worst week of 2003. But at least it's not all bad...

But ... I hate brown. The description fits, though...

Retail therapy -- gotta love it. Got the Japanese version of "Ring" (felt a little deprived, just seeing the American remake), the first "Noir" DVD, Depeche Mode's "Violator" album and ... well, "Meteora" by Linkin Park. I know, it's sad, I like them. Deal with it.

I am devoting this weekend completely to myself. I really need to unwind. But that's okay; I think I've earned it.
