The Outside World is EVIL!
Jul. 13th, 2003 05:34 pmOoooooh, I knew I shouldn't have left the house.
First thing that happened was massive shit with the Northern Line. That doesn't really surprise me, but pisses me off something chronic. I mean, stranded on the platform at Tooting Broadway for a quarter of an hour, having to get a train going via Bank (because the next train coming along in ten minutes is also going via Bank and if I wait for a Charing Cross train I'll be there all day) and change at Elephant & Castle (which I personally think is a boil on the arse of this Godforsaken city and will not apologise for that belief because I worked there for nearly three years) for the Bakerloo line, then get off to be greeted by a bunch of yahoos in Trafalgar Square protesting about things in Turkey. Not to mention the backpackers, clueless tourists and that weird old lady who glared at me for no apparent reason. Getting home should be easier -- I'm gonna take the District out to Waterloo and then bus it from there 'cos the trains don't stop at Tooting on a weekend anyway.
I won't go into the other thing.
50footqueenie kind of gave me new perspective on the whole thing. But I was all set to go into this rant about RPG systems and how you can't quantify a person with a bunch of die rolls and numbers but I'm really not in the mood right now. I really wish I hadn't left the house today.
