They're Potty for Potter Books
Jun. 18th, 2003 09:27 pmPumpkin Juice at the Taj Mahal. Potterfic of the day. Thanks to
praetorianguard for posting a link to it.
Just over two days to go until "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" comes out, and it's already chaos. The page-a-day on my favourite radio station isn't bad enough, apparently. Now there's the few thousand copies that got stolen and the fact that someone leaked which major character dies. Now, particularly this close to what Wakaranai calls "H-Hour" (oh, the geekiness never ceases to amaze me...), I have but one thought.
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
I'm going to do the following -- go over to Waterstones on Friday night, wait, pick up my copy of the book, go home, ring
nightskywarlock, and gloat. Then settle down with a few bottles of Coke and a bag of Pick n Mix and read until dawn.
In other news ... there really is no other news. I'm two chapters into King-like nonfic, and it's ... well, the second chapter is squickworthy to the extreme. But
50footqueenie seems to like it. And has got Nakanaide wanting to read it. Which surprises me, given some of the content. But what the hey; he's less innocent than he looks. Or soon will be.
