Why are there so many stupid people? There can't be this many stupid people.

Didn't pull as much overtime as I have done over the past couple of days. Hence, I'm still capable of uprightness. (Plus I was in an hour late -- stupid public transport so it balances out.) But I got phone calls meant for Charing Cross hospital. I got one woman who called because she had just received her stupid X-ray result and wanted to know what had taken so long. (If she already had it, who the hell cares?) If they want something they know I typed, shouldn't they also figure I know where the file is? If so, why are they digging through roughly ten tons of meticulously arranged films without telling me about it? Why are there so many stupid people?

We got another new temp. The second one couldn't take the stress. The new one's morose and slow and kind of nondescript. I wonder how long she'll last.

Wakaranai ... his parents ... not really my business but I seem to be the only voice of reason in his life and what the hell am I supposed to do?

Not whine about it, that's what I'm supposed to do. It's my decision who I hang out with and what I let them to do my moods and I wouldn't do it if there weren't compensation. Excuse the whining, but sometimes it just feels so damn good to scream.

Of course, I could always bitch about the Mighty Fucks of Anaheim some more, but I think I'll save that for if or when (God forbid) they win another game.

On the subject of [livejournal.com profile] pottersginny.

I wanted to post a comment on her LJ about the most recent thing she had to say. I'd wanted to say something to this woman since I read about the whole debacle. Funnily, though, when I'd sent the comment, I got the following message:

"Your comment has been added. According to this journal's settings, it was marked as screened, and will be visible only to you and the journal's owner until the owner chooses to unscreen it. You can view your comment here."

So, since it may never see the light of day, here's my comment.

I've been following this as best I can, and forgive me if I seem out of line, but this is the situation as I see it.

You've made some statements, and you claim to believe them wholeheartedly, with the weight of the Bible on your side. Okay, but why don't you get into a rational discussion with some of the people who post to you instead of deleting entries, deleting comments and essentially hiding this belief you have? If you're secure and feel justified in this belief, surely you should be willing to debate it with others of a different opinion, just because you are secure in your belief and can defend it if you have to, without worrying about how you sound.

Now, I'll admit that some of the comments were below the belt, but then again, in their eyes, so were yours. But a lot of the people who replied to your 'zebras' thing honestly wanted to know how you got something like that from a text that also states that "All men were created in God's own image" and that He loved us -- all of us -- so much that He sent His only Son to die for our sins. See, I can debate this, and I think that certain aspects of the Christian religion make me sick.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're coming off awfully defensive for someone who's got the courage of their convictions. I really wish you'd open up a dialogue with someone with a slightly different view so that we could at least understand where the other's coming from instead of all just making grandiose and usually harmful statements.

Oh, and incidentally ... I think you're wrong. If you limit anyone's activities -- including dictating who they should or should not marry -- because of their race, then you are a racist. All men are created equal -- I think that's the Constitution. Some wise person, anyway.

I thought it deserved to be read.
