Nuclear Holiday, Day 1
Jun. 22nd, 2002 03:46 pm12-Shot arrived an hour late in the end, or at least his train did. Not a huge problem, as it gave me time to watch the ebb and flow of humanity and get smiled at by someone's little rug-monkey. Whooo.
Grabbed a cab back to mine, listened to music, read things (he loaned me "Good Omens", I loaned him "The Daria Diaries") and we went down the chippie rather than have me cook. Then he read the thing that is oh-so-nearly done. Now, bar music (which I'll add after Ryu has coded, hopefully by my tonight and his ... well, afternoon) and two measely flashbacks, it is done, with a little help from 12-Shot himself -- I'd never have got that scene that finally fills in all the gaps without his comments, even if it did involve me groping for a pen at 12:30 in the morning.
Today's been ... busy. Dragged him to and through Camden, which he seemed to enjoy. I got myself a new shirt for clubbing tonight -- purple and black, and reads "Deviant" in Gothic lettering. Showed him the Virgin Megastore on the corner of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road (music-lover's Mecca despite the prices) and he got himself a Stranglers CD that was on sale for 99p. From there, through Berwick Street's secondhand CD shops, through Leicester Square (he was not impressed, but I can't blame him) and through Trafalgar Square (which at first he didn't even notice; he looked in the direction of St Martin's despite the fact that Traf Square was full of cheering, flag-waving South Koreans and Turks at the time) and now we're here. After this, we're going back to mine, we'll chill, I'll do dinner, we'll get made up and we meet
jonny_eol and go clubbing.
So far, this holiday has rocked. And it's only a day old. Whee...
