I got out of the dinner at Mum's alive. More than I could have hoped for, admittedly. But on my way out, I ran into a cute Indian guy who waitered at a local upscale curryhouse. I needed a smoke worse than anything. He was taking his smoke break. He was having problems with his lighter and I helped him out. He wanted to meet with me half an hour ago. I obviously stood him up. So the question is, why?

So now I'm sitting at this computer terminal with a bottle of Coke filled with red wine (no one can tell by looking), a Stabbing Westward CD in my Discman, and woe in my heart. I'm never going to get over this, am I? Even with Six Degrees, I could date other people...
