Spring Breaking
Mar. 29th, 2002 05:14 pm"Leave my loneliness unbroken" my rosy red arse.
It's a beautiful day in London. This is rare. First of all, this is ... well, this is London. It's supposed to be grey, cold, wet, foggy ... the weather should, frankly, be pants. But it's beautiful. The sun is shining. It was warm enough to go around in short sleeves earlier. There is literally not a cloud in the sky. I really wished I had a pair of sunglasses earlier because there was serious danger of me going glareblind. But it's worth it.
So I couldn't make myself stay in bed until the sun went down. Here, if you get a good day, grab it before it runs away! So I went out, strolled through Covent Garden, grabbed some very late lunch (it was, like, four, but I hadn't got out of bed until 12:30 so I can be forgiven) and did some shopping. Which, when Wendy (oh, fine, Leopard) brought up her Sunshine in conversation, prompted the following.
Thessalian: Yes, of course! But don't rub it in cos I am a lonely Brit in whore-red (actually "Diva Red") lipstick.
Leopard: *giggle*
Thessalian: Well, I'm going out tonight. I have decided. And I needed something more ... to the point than Heather Rose.
Leopard: *laugh*
Thessalian: Well? Am I a Heather Rose? Or am I a Diva-whore?
Leopard: somewhere between Diva Rose and Heather Whore?
Thaaaaaaaaaaaank you! Yeah, I was thinking about going out clubbing. I may not, though, as I keep forgetting I'm going to the cinema with my mother tomorrow and I really do not want to face her hungover. Besides, I haven't got the right clothes. (Oh, and if my mother makes one more comment about my Green Day T-shirt, I will deck her into next year, alright?) Well, I could just go in the aforementioned Green Day T-shirt, but...
My options really are:
Full Tilt at the Electric Ballroom
See if anything decent's happening at Gossips
The anime showing at the Prince Charles, then the Maple Leaf or Intrepid Fox
Home with Chinese takeaway, listen to some music and finish "Human Punk"
*sigh* All sound like great options. I'll think of something.
