Maybe I'm a complete moron... ok, I probably am... but I'm not seeing what the problem would be with two companies buying the NHL and running it as a single large company. Seems like that would solve a lot of the problems... but could also create quite a few new ones... either way, bottom line is that it would get the players back on the ice and that is what matters at this point right?
It's more a national and civic pride thing than anything else, I suppose. Logic and economics are all well and good, but it doesn't really speak to me. Too cold.
