Doors again. I don't even have to write the villains when there's doors about.

I have to ask, because I'm curious now. Those of you I've run for, or have heard rumours about what I've run to date, RP-wise: what's the nastiest, doomiest, most unconscionable horror I've inflicted on a player as the GM/ST of any given game? In your opinion. I really want to know.

Also, if you can come up with one: what's the daffiest, silliest, most generally ludicrous thing I've ever presented to players in game?

Seriously: I don't know how I'd react to some of the stuff I've pulled on players in game. Well, in most cases. I'd like to know what really had an impact. If no one minds sparing the time to answer.

That thing that came out of paintings and didn't like red was...memorable.

Actually, that's two entirely different 'villains'. The Acheri - the plague-bearer - was the one who couldn't use his birthrights on anyone wearing red. The painting-travelling nightmare-monger was the Killjoy.

But yes, Thlayli is probably one of my favourite NPCs. Mostly 'cos I get to speak in "squeef".

I'd say "What you did to Frank at the start of that abortive GURPS Mage chronicle," but (as I may have mentioned) I gave you that story hook with the full intention of it coming back to bite him in the ass in something like the way it did; I just wasn't expecting it to be part of the chronicle kickoff. Or for... Susan, I think I called her... to be caught in the crossfire.

The chronicle didn't last long enough for much daffy, silly and/or ludicrous, but the Germanic interlocutor's Van Helsing English was pretty funny when it wasn't impeding my comprehension, and even when it was.
