Re: the Codex Alera ... eh, maybe I'm just spoiled but I tend to think he can do better than 'half-decent'. *shrug* I may give it another go, but only if someone's got copies they can lend, be it friends or my library. What little I've seen to date doesn't compel me to spend money on it. *sheepish*
