Basically it's saying that links are money. The problem is that I beleive it's doing them as an arithmetric progression, whereas the graph would be more of a long lead in geometric - worth very little for a long stretch, then slowly being worth more and more until you actually got into the big deals where the huge quanity of linkage is worth the big bucks.

That's my 5am economic analysis anyway.
